Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous as a star of the well-known TV series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. From his early college days Meloni became interested in the field of acting. He then studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films as well as on TV however, it's his actors portrayed in small screen that has earned him fame. It is no surprise that his characters have been able to capture the attention of viewers by playing characters that are either one side of the legal system. He played the character of the serial killer on his debut television show and then later played an NYPD detective. His performances on small screens are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial features is said to be his piercing blue eyes, which are considered as a signature and help in portraying tough characters that have charisma. He was featured in 2006 when he was featured in People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
